Irene F. Freitas

Sanford - Irene F. Freitas, 87, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford, ME following a period of failing health. Born June 5, 1924 in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Lena (Smith) Harding. Mrs. Freitas worked for many years for Dover Flexo Electronics. Throughout her life she enjoyed many hobbies including square dancing, gardening, camping, and reading. She had been a member of the Jolly Stompers Square Dancing Club in her hometown of New Bedford, MA. Most of all Irene enjoyed being a grandmother and spending time with her family. Members of her family include her children Daniel Freitas and wife June Freitas of Lebanon, ME; and Dorene Maurice of Lebanon, ME; her grandchildren Deanna Freitas, Christine Webber and husband Jason Webber, and Lorie Brunelle; her great grandchildren Myriah Freitas, Jasmine and Kyle Webber and Riley Brunelle; and many nieces and nephews.
