Irene Ruth May

KITTERY POINT, Maine - Irene Ruth May, 88, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012. She was in the wonderful care of Langdon Place of Dover, N.H. Born April 3, 1923 in Newark, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Ella (Maurer) Chapman. Along with her husband, Lawrence T. May, she was an avid photographer and member of the Lawrence Camera Club. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing, and had a life's passion for drawing and painting. She is the wife of the late Lawrence T. May, sister of Ella (Oldershaw), Robert, Harry and Edward Chapman and loving mother of two daughters, Lisa Hughes, and her husband Steven of Norton, Mass, Diane Perrault of Toledo, Ohio; three sons, Thomas May and his Wife Deborah of Clarendon, VT, Michael May and his wife Margie of Allenstown, N.H., and John May of North Adams, Mass. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Zachary, Melissa, Matthew and Jonathan May, and Tyler and Colten Hughes. She was deeply loved by her family, and will be missed more than words can say. There...
