Rochester- Jacqueline S."Jackie" Anctil, 85, passed away peacefully after a long, courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, July 5th at her home with her loving family by her side. Jackie was born in Rochester on June 12th, 1929, daughter of Laurence and Ruth (Hoffman) Shaw. Jackie graduated from Spaulding High School class of 1947 and remained active on her class reunion committee and the Spaulding Alumni Association throughout her life. During the high school years of her children, Jackie was a member of the Red Raiders Mother's Club. She retired from AT&T after thirty years of service and was a life-long member of the Telephone Pioneers Club of America. In her retirement she, and her beloved husband Tony, developed a passion for golf. The time spent on the many courses served to keep them looking and feeling young, vibrant and active.
