Strafford, NH- James E. Brown, 90, of Province Road passed away Tuesday Oct. 12, 2021 at his home after a period of failing health.He was born Oct. 23, 1930 in Somerville, MA and has resided here for the past 37 years. He serviced in the US Marines from 1952 -1954. Jim worked as an iron worker for the local union and a custodian for the National Guard. He loved agriculture; growing plants and flowers. Jim was a great handyman and hard worker. He was a member of Cross Point Church in Rochester. Members of his family include his wife of 64 years, Adrienne (Jones) Brown; son, Neil Brown and companion Barbara Bennett; daughters, Marcia Wilkins and husband Jeffrey, Rachel Brown; grandchildren, Ryan and Chris Brown, Jeffrey and Ashley Wilkins, Nichole Wilkins; great grandchildren, Lindsay, Michael, Jon and Brody; brothers, Dr. John Brown deceased, David Brown; sister, Nancy Brenneman and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Thursday Oct. 21, 2021 at 1 PM in the chapel of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH. followed by a graveside service in Center Strafford Cemetery, Strafford, NH with military services.
