Rochester, NH - James R. Harden, 86, of 31 Watercress Drive died Thursday Sept. 28, 2017 at Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover after a period of failing health. He was born June 2, 1931 in Trenton, NJ the son of the late James S. and Grace (Madden) Harden. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. James worked for NJ Bell Telephone Company for 38 years retiring as a lineman. He was a member of The American Legion, Washington, D.C. James enjoyed hunting and fishing but especially enjoyed spending time with his family. For the last 16 years James resided at Tara Estates and was an active member of Tara Estates Activity Council.Members of his family include his wife of 63 years, Patricia (Seidenglanz) Harden; daughters: Nancy (Peter) Klein of Maryland, Maureen (Scott) Lozier of New Jersey, Joelyn (David) Pray of Massachusetts, Diane (Robert) Boyd of New Hampshire, Tricia (Greg) Reed of Pennsylvania and eleven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandson Craig Lozier.Family and friends may visit Sunday Oct. 1, 2017 from 2-4 PM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH.The funeral service will follow at 4 in the chapel of the funeral home.
