Rochester, NH- James Leo Laverdiere, Sr., 87, of 195 Ten Rod Road died Friday March 26, 2010 at Colonial Hill Nursing Home after a period of failing health. Born Aug. 31, 1922 in Methuen, MA he was the son of the late James Leo and Dianna (Creteau) Laverdiere. He has resided in Rochester all of his life and owned and operated the Laverdiere family farm for 85 years. James was a communicant of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and a longtime member of the Club Victoire of Rochester NH.He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed skiing, fishing and traveling. He also enjoyed playing cards. Members of his family include his wife of 42 years, Beatrice (Boisvert) Laverdiere of Rochester; his sons, David and wife Lorrette Laverdiere of Lebanon, ME., James Jr. and wife Karen Laverdiere of South Carolina; five grandchildren.
