James Edward Rawley

Rochester NH-James Edward Rawley,73, of 13F Felker St died Tuesday March 23, 2010 at the Lawrence General Hospital after a long illness. Born April 28, 1936 in Rochester NH he was the son of the late Sam and Mary Smith. Jim has lived in Rochester most of his life. He was US Navy Veteran. He was employed by the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, retired from the Trident Refit Facility, Kings Bay, Georgia. He enjoyed bowling and was interested in old Cadillacs and sports cars. Jim a very dedicated man to his job having worked right up till the time he became sick. Members of his family include his sons; James M. Rawley of Manchester, Dwight E Rawley of Fort Smith AR. , his daughter, Susan Rawley of Farmington, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a sister, Marlene Harris, brother-in-law Mel Harris of Rochester, a nephew Ron Bickford, of Riverside N.J , his cousin who jim looked to as his brother and close friend, Norman Beaulieu, of Rochester, his ex-wife and good friend, Joan Rawley of Rochester, he is predeceased by his sister Bernice Sintz and a brother Eddie Rawley . Calling hours will be held 3:30-4:30pm with a funeral service to be held at 4:30pm in the chapel of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester NH 03867. Burial will be in the Rochester Cemetery in the Spring held on Monday April 26th, 2010 time 10:00 am
