Jane Urrutia of Lebanon, Maine passed away peacefully on February 14, 2021 after a long period of declining health with her loving family by her side. Jane, a daughter of the late Linwood Elliott and Edna (Ball) Elliott was born in Springfield, MA. on October 18, 1943. Jane lived a full life enjoying what meant the most to her; family, pets, sports and the unconditional love she had for children. She took pride in serving children through her career at the Head Start program in York County, ME and caring for children at The St. Charles Children's Home in Rochester, NH. Jane loved talking about her dad, especially his love and work he did for The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). She also loved a great cup of coffee, reading, country music, visiting the casino and playing bingo alongside her family. She spent numerous hours at her children and grandchildren's sporting and school events and had more knowledge of sports than the average fan. She had her own sense of "style" which included wearing Bruins or Red Sox attire from head to toe. Once her health started to decline and she lost her vision to Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (LHON), Jane persevered and never let her illnesses define her or slow her down. She can be remembered for her strength and courage, her will to fight, her big heart of gold, her animated spirit and her selflessness. Jane was the kind of person who would give her shirt off her back to anyone in need. She is survived by her loving and caregiving husband of 45 years, Victor, and her 9 children, William Braese Jr., Kimberly Braese, Keith Braese and his wife Mary, Christine Braese, Victor Urrutia Jr., Thomas Urrutia, Carmen Gregoire and her husband Carl, Tracey Mooradian and her husband David and Joshua Urrutia and his wife Rebecca; 26 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way. In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by a grandson, Dakota and her most beloved dog, Remy.
