Janice E. Purington

Rochester, N.H.-Janice E. Purington, 86, of Sampson Road, passed away on February 9, 2018 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Born in Strawberry, VT. on April 21, 1931, she was the daughter of the late George Sunderland and Myrtle (Drown) Sunderland, and is predeceased by her husband Robert George Purington. Janice worked as a cashier for Kmart and served as a Gray Lady after WWII. She was a resident of Rochester for most of her life. She is survived by her companion of 35 years, Raymond Tucker, sons; David Purington, Seattle ,Washington, Jon Purington, Rochester NH, sister Beverly Zick, Rochester NH, grandchildren Robert, Eric and Christina Purington as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son Alan Purington. At her request there will be no services. Arrangements are under the care of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 S Main Street, Rochester NH 03867.
