ROCHESTER, New Hampshire - Janie Sarah Peavey, who was known for her selfless giving, great sense of humor and that infectious smile that would melt anyone's heart died Sunday, September 16 in Dover, New Hampshire after a short battle with pneumonia. She was 91. Born in Alvarado, Texas Sarah, as she was known by family and friends, grew up during the great depression in Burleson, Texas. She was the youngest of six kids, with two brothers and three sisters.. She met her future husband of 50 years, George L. Peavey, an Army Air Corp glider pilot during World War II, in Fort Worth, Texas. After marrying Sarah traveled the US, Central and South America as an Air Force Officer's wife with her husband and their two children, Michael and Suzanne where she was very active in the Officer's Wives Club. The family lived in Maine, Texas and the Panama Canal Zone.
