Jay Payne

Farmington NH-Jay Payne,78, of Haywagon Rd died January 13, 2018 at the Wentworth Douglass Hospital after a sudden illness Born July 8, 1939 in Beuladean NC he was the son of the late James and Verna Ledford Payne Jay has lived in Rochester for the past 56 years.  He served the United States Airforce during the Vietnam War.  He was employed as an aircraft mechanic and later worked as a Ford Mechanic for Rochester Ford. He was a member of the American Legion Post 7 in Rochester and was a member of the Freedom Riders. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, Hunting, boating and being with his friends and was considered someone who was a big help to all. Members of his family include his 2 children, a brother, Donald Payne of FL, a sister, Betty Payne of PA, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his sister Rosa Slagle Services may be planned down in Pennsylvania.
