Jean "Jeana" Arnolda Wyndham

Eliot, ME - Jean "Jeana" Arnolda Wyndham, 78, died peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Born May 22, 1944, in Lewiston Maine to the late Arnold and Winifred (Goddard) Wyndham. Jeana lived in Lisbon Falls Maine as a young child.  She often would talk about how her grandmother Elsie, a town clerk, would let her "make documents" as a kid when she would visit her at work. She graduated from Eliot High in 1962 and attended The Stenotype Institute in Boston for court reporting. She decided to move to California where she worked for the phone company as an operator and where California is also where she met the father of her only child, Thomas.  After moving around the country with her Navy family, she settled back in Eliot in 1983 where she raised her daughter and enjoyed many other community activities. She loved to volunteer whether it was helping adults and children learn to read and write, shipyard bloodmobiles and after as a Ballot Clerk during election years. Jeana...
