Barrington, NH- Jean C. Dotson, 86, of 204 Green Hill Road died Tuesday Aug. 7, 2012 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 5, 1925 in Rochester, NH, the daughter of the late Everett and Edna (Graham) Chadbourne. Jean was a graduate of Spaulding High School, Class of 1943 and has lived in this area most of her life. She worked many years at Great Falls Manufacturing Company and retired from Thompson Center Arms of Rochester. She was a member of the Church of God and a fifty year member of the Order of Eastern Star. She truly enjoyed gambling at Foxwoods. Her other hobbies included crotcheting, reading, and making puzzles but her most enjoyment came from spending time with her family. The widow of Edward J. Dotson whom she had been married to for 42 years; she is survived by her son Edward II "Skip" and wife Sharon Dotson of Rochester; daughter, Bonnie and husband Ron Goulet of Barrington, NH grandchildren, Toby Goulet, Barrington, NH Kori Goulet, Portsmouth, NH R. Shayne Sanborn, NB, Heather Funicella, Exeter, NH; Eric Goulet and wife Ashlei, Lebanon, ME. Daryl Palmer and wife Heidi, England great grandchildren, Tyler S. Sanborn, Lucas and Jacob Goulet, Ben, Holly and Chloe Palmer and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Charles and Alfred Chadbourne, Marion Dudley, Helen Tuck, and Fran Witham. Family and friends may visit Friday Aug.10, 2012 from 3 to 5PM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester NH. The funeral service will follow at 5PM in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Nelson, pastor of the Church of God, officiating.
