Jean Jones, 76, of Rochester, NH, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at Hyder House in Dover, NH surrounded by her family. Born on August 18, 1949, in Dover, NH, she was the daughter of Mike Adams and Mary (Tsoukalas) Adams. Jean was raised locally and graduated from Dover High School with the Class of 1967. She later met the love of her life, Henry Jones, and the two were married in 1971, sharing more than 54 years together. Jean had a varied and dedicated career, working at

Moore Business Forms, Harris Graphics, and Cabletron Systems before finishing her working years as a baker for the Dover School System. She found joy in many simple pleasures, including dancing, golfing, knitting thoughtful gifts for family and friends, and taking long walks with her husband. She also enjoyed spending time at the gym with friends. Jean had a true passion for baking and was especially known for sharing her homemade cookies, brownies, and fudge with everyone around her. She is survived by her beloved husband, Henry N. Jones of Rochester, NH; her son, Michael R. Jones of Rochester, NH; and her sisters, Dawn and her husband, Michael Vachon of Rochester, NH; Debi and her husband, Richard Lemay of Rollinsford, NH; and Harriet and her husband, Brian Cormier of Somersworth, NH. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Hyder House and all Cornerstone caregivers for the exceptional care and compassion they provided. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 26, 2026, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Rochester American Legion in Rochester, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to Friends of Hyder House.
