Jeanne Clark French

Jeanne Clark French age 87 died on Dec.30, 2019 in Cocoa Beach, Fl. She was born on May 29, 1932 in Belfast Maine, the daughter of Lloyd and Katrina Smith. She leaves behind her son Paul Dana Clark of Sarasota Fl. and her daughter Jeana n Harm on of Cocoa Fl. She is predecease by her son Daniel Clark and her husband Vernon French. She is also predeceased by her first husband Paul Clark. She also leaves behind her grandsons Paul Dana Clark Jr. , Frank Clark, Craig Harmon, Trevor Harmon, step granddaughter Becky Spear, 5 step children Rev. Craig French of NY, Kevin French of Ohio, Kenneth French of NH, Carol Ducommun of Ill., and Karen Rastenis of Ohio. Jeanne graduated from Spaulding High School in 1950 and went on to become a registered x-ray technologist. She worked for 28 years in the radiology dept. at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester NH, where she later became head of the dept. until her retirement. She was a member of the Rochester United Methodist Church for over 75 years. She was very active in the church singing in the choir and serving on various committees. The Rochester Fellowship Kitchen meant a great deal to her and she served as its president for many years in its early years. Jeanne also sang with the Rochester Community chorus for a number of years, enjoyed oil painting, sewing, and wood working. For many years she hosted a holiday craft fair at her home where she had made many handmade crafts of various kinds for sale. She always spoke highly of Mai ne and New Hampshire and how she loved it here, especially when she was outdoors.  With a good book and her husband Vern by her side sitting near the lake on a nice summer day was all she needed to be happy. Winters found Jeanne and Vern in Florida visiting with her children whom she loved so much and was proud of. A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Rochester, NH at 11am on Sat. Sept. 11, 2021.
