Jeremiah J Stuart, 101 years old, of Jeremiah Lane in Rochester, NH died on Tuesday, February 03, 2015. He was born in Rochester on October 26, 1913, a son of Walter Jeremiah (Jeddie) and Minnie Allen Stuart. He attended local schools. His first job was working at the woolen mills in East Rochester. During World War II, he worked for several years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Later, he became a master carpenter. He retired in 1977 but continued to do carpentry work as requested. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in East Rochester. Jeremiah is survived by three sons: Norman Stuart (Sharyn); Richard Stuart (Trish); and J. Bruce Roberts; two sisters: Evelyn Huppe (Leo) and Elsie Huggard (predeceased Clayton); daughter-in-law: Lorene Stuart; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Jeremiah was predeceased by three brothers, George, Archie, and Reginald. Funeral services will be held at the Grace Baptist Church in East Rochester, NH on Friday, February 6 at 11 AM. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour before at 10 AM in the church. Rev Daniel Huggard and Rev R J Morgan, Pastor will conduct the services. Interment will be in the spring in the East Rochester Cemetery beside his wife Beatrice Stuart who predeceased him in 1966. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.M.
