Jessie Patriquin Boucher, 97, passed away suddenly in Deltona, Florida on November 15, 2017. Jessie was born on September 17, 1920 in Mt. Uniack, Canada to William and Hazel Patriquin. She moved to Durham, NH as an infant where she later attended a one-room school house on Packers Falls Rd. and Dover High School. Jessie married Walter Drapeau in 1941 and the couple had 4 children. They lived most of their married years in Rochester. Jessie married Raymond Boucher in 1986, adding another son and two daughters to her family. Jessie was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church in Rochester, NH where she served as a Lay Leader, belonged to the United Methodist Women and hosted a weekly card ministry known as Sip 'n Share. Jessie was well known for offering a helping hand to anyone who needed a ride to appointments or shopping. Jessie was a 50 year member and Past Noble Grand of Naomi Rebekah Lodge #4, where she also served as treasurer for many years. She worked at the Miller Shoe Factory in Dover for many years as a stitcher and during her early retirement years she worked at Welch's Flower Shop and Chocolate Plus Candy Store. Jessie enjoyed traveling, making trips to Virginia, Florida, Mississippi, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland to visit family. One of her favorite vacations was to the Holy Land with church friends. She loved to share about her camel ride, the pyramids and especially walking where Jesus walked. Jessie moved to Deltona, Florida in the summer of 2011 to live with her daughter Arleen and son-in-law Wally. She enjoyed her last years with Arleen, Wally & Molly (her favorite dog), loving the Florida sunshine, days on the patio and outings to the park. She especially loved having Thanksgiving in the park and this year got to talk about hurricane Irma and our 4 days without power - didn't bother her. She loved the sense of adventure. She spent many weekends in Orlando with her granddaughter Pat and family and her favorite kitties. She attended weekly services at University Carillon United Methodist Church. Most recently, her favorite way to stay in contact with NH friends and family was via texting on her smart phone. Jessie is survived by her daughter, Arleen Clark of Deltona, FL, step-son, Roger Boucher of Gilmanton Iron Works, NH, step-daughter, Kathryn (Mrs. David) Cantaneo of Durham, NH and step-daughter, Debra (Mrs. Alan) Carter of Kings Bay, GA, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren and 2 nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Raymond, two sons, Joseph Drapeau and Laurence (Pete) Drapeau and daughter, Beverly Sisler. A memorial service to celebrate Jessie's life will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Rochester, NH. A reception will immediately follow the service in the fellowship hall at the church.
