Joan Louise Bires

Rochester- Joan L. (French) Bires, 61, of 4 Emerson Drive, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at her home. Born May 15, 1949 in Bangor, ME. She was the daughter of the late Charles French and Geraldine (Pierce) Maskiewicz. Joan adored horses, I Love Lucy, and Elvis Presley. But above all, she loved her faith and her family. She enjoyed her days volunteering at the Rochester VNA, while actively participating in every aspect of her grandchildren's lives. Always Keghan's & Alanna's # 1 fan, their Meme loved watching them do everything. She attended their practices, games, school events, and never missed a birthday or a Christmas with them. Time not spent by her family's side was shared with her dearest friends Rose and Ann or attending church with her many friends. Members of her family include her daughter Amy (Madden) Malone, and husband Barry of Rochester, NH, and son Jason Madden of Bangor, ME.
