STRAFFORD ; Joan C. (Gmahle) (Conway) Ferraro, 73, of 17 Canaan Road, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the Rochester Manor.Born Jan. 16, 1937, in Stamford, Conn., She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anne (Traska) Gmahle.Mrs. Ferraro graduated from the Stamford High School in Stamford. She loved spending time with her family whether it was going on vacations with them or having cookouts. She enjoyed every bit of life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo and sewing.Members of her family include: her three sons, Stephen Conway, Sr. of Connecticut, Daniel Conway and wife Corina of Rochester, and Patrick Conway, Sr. and wife Rebecca of Strafford; her grandchildren, Stephen Conway, Jr., Chad Conway, Patrick Conway, Jr., Sonya Dunton and Shanda Fortier; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Chagnon and Rachel Conway.She was predeceased by her husband Anthony V.
