Joan Gerrish

Joan Gerrish, 91, died Sept. 11, 2022 in Rochester after a brief illness. She was born in Portsmouth, NH Oct. 12, 1930 the daughter of Stacy and Olive (Kennedy) Caldwell. She was raised by her grandparents William and Etta Kennedy who operated Gilley's Lunch Cart for many years in Portsmouth. She was educated at St. Patrick's School and was a 1949 graduate of Portsmouth High School. She was employed as a secretary at M.M. Solid Waste in Lee and later worked part time at Sears in Newington. She and her husband spent many years touring the country, first on motorcycle and later in a motorhome. They also spent many years wintering in Tampa Bay area of Florida.
