Joan Moody

Dover, NH- Joan Eleanor Moody, 86, formerly of 312 Strafford Road Strafford, NH died Monday Nov. 15, 2010 at Riverside Rest Home in Dover, NH after a period of failing health. She was born June 24, 1924 in New York City, NY the daughter of the late Elijah and Mary (Michaelica) Delauro. She has resided in this area for 12 years previously living in Sabattus, ME. Mrs. Moody worked as the secretary to the Commander of the Navy at the Brooklyn Naval Yard. She was of the Catholic faith and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed dogs reading and the seashore. The widow of Ernest Moody she is survived by one daughter, Colleen Gulick of Strafford, NH; grandchildren, Amanda Major of Epsom, NH, David Gulick, Riverside, RI., Nathaniel Gulick and Jonathan Gulick both of Strafford, NH; sister, Dorothy "Chicky" Schelgel of Cochecton, NY. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Michael Gulick and brother, Arthur Delauro. Family and friends may visit Saturday 3-6PM at the R.M.
