Joanne Stover

ROCHESTER - Joanne Stover-Delage, 69, of 11 York Court, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at the Wentworth Douglas Hospital in Dover.Born April 20, 1940, in Sanbornton, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Alice (Beane) Higgins.Joanne grew up in Sanbornton and graduated from Franklin High School in 1958. She went to work for New England Telephone from 1957 to 1971, until her son Paul was born, and again from 1986 until her retirement in 1994.Joanne enjoyed spending time with her husband Ed and her two granddaughters. She also enjoyed sharing her love for sewing and art with them.Members of her family include her husband of 22 years, Edward Delage of Rochester; her son, Paul Stover and wife, Christine, of Strafford along with their children Cassandra and Alexandra Stover; many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her brother, Fred "Sam" Higgins; sister, Doris (Higgins) Howe; and her first husband Almon Stover.There will be no calling hours.A memorial service will be celebrated, Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009,...
