New Durham NH-Joanne B. Tutein, 82, of Main St passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday November 6, 2018 after a long illness. Born May 1, 1936 in Woburn MA she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie (Daniel) Barney. She was proud of her induction as a Rainbow Girl. Prior to being married she worked at a local MA registry of deeds and while living in New Durham she worked for a period of time at a local business, Phase-r Corp, and acted as the substitute rural mail carrier for a number of years. She also co-owned a photography shop with her husband for numerous years with locations in Wolfeboro and Meredith, NH. Joanne's greatest joy was supporting and spending time with her family. She was a great cook and passed on her talent of home cooking to her family. She spent many fall nights pickling. Hobbies she has enjoyed over the years include sewing, knitting, embroidery and painting. She also loved reading, crossword puzzles, flowers and traveling. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Bruce W. Tutein. She is survived by her brother Ronald Barney; her children Paula Tutein, Marcia Tyler, Linda Smith and her husband Steve, Alan Tutein and his wife Emma; her grandchildren, Ryan, Emily and Haley Tyler, Brianna and Dylan Smith, Olivia Tutein; her great grandchildren, Carson, Charlotte and Emery Tyler. There will be a graveside service held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, MA on Thursday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m.
