Obituary

Jocelyn Ellen Rodgers 27 of Rochester, NH passed away on July 9, 2026, after a long battle with Friedreich's Ataxia. Jocelyn was born on June 19, 1999, to Peter Rodgers and Mandy Coleman. Jocelyn was a graduate of Spaulding High School.

While Jocelyn spent most of her life disabled, she refused to let that define her. She was the embodiment of strength, and fortitude in the face of adversity. Even through hardships, multiple surgeries, the inability to hang out with friends, attend dances, experience normal teenage and adult relationships, or simply do the things others her age were doing, she remained remarkably positive.

Jocelyn was sassy, funny, and greatly appreciative. she always said "Thank You" every single time she needed something, no matter what. Her infectious positivity, love, inspiration, radiant smile and humor transcended the difficult hand she was dealt. Simply being around her made everyone want to be a better person.

To her parents, Jocelyn was a gift and an honor. She taught her family far more living life than words could ever express. Her spirit of beauty, joy, love and humor left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Character is not built in the high points; it is forged in the struggles of life and Jocelyn is the epitome of a character well forged.

Jocelyn is predeceased by her grandfather Michael Coleman and her uncle Michael Coleman II and also by her beloved service dog, Teal.

Jocelyn is survived by her loving parents, Mandy Coleman and Peter Rodgers, her brothers, Peter Rodger Jr and Zachary Judd. Her grandparents Jon Rodgers, Joanne Rodgers and William Murtagh, Barbara and Gary Rush, her aunts and uncles, Dean Lamb, Jason and Maureen Rodgers, Melissa and Phil Bolduc, Megan Rodgers and her partner Gordan Feeney, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and friends who's lives she brightened.

Jocelyn will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her bravery, strength and light she brought into this world.

Every ending is the beginning of something eternal~
