John James Anderson, Jr.

Anderson, John Rochester- John J. Anderson JR, 65, of 8 Henrietta Street died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover. Born January 4, 1945 in Lynn, MA. He was the son of the late John J. SR and Florence J. (McDonald) Anderson. John had lived in Rochester for the past 35 years after moving from Lynn, MA. He was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard until his retirement and later worked for Perot Enterprises Systems and Imagine One. He was a very active volunteer having served as the President of West Side Little League for five years. He enjoyed hunting and working in his yard. He especially enjoyed his many friends and their companionship but most of all he loved spending time with his four grandchildren. Members of his family include his daughter Kelly Libby and husband Tim of Rochester and son SSgt Michael Anderson and fiancé Robin of Camp Lejeune, NC. His grandchildren Brooke Libby, Lydia Anderson, Leighanne Anderson, and Lauren Anderson. His sister Joan Platt and husband Thomas of Manchester, MA. Several nieces and nephews. He preceded in death by his wife Bunny (Hatch) Anderson and sister Florence Anderson. A wake will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 from 4 PM - 8 PM at the R. M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 S.
