John (Jack) Herrick Sr.

John (Jack) Herrick Sr. passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on June 6th, 2021, at his home in Strafford, NH, in the presence of his loving family.  Jack was born May 10th, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts, to William B. Herrick and Julia M. Herrick, and grew in Reading, Massachusetts.  He then lived in North Reading for over 40 years. After graduating from Reading High School in 1965, Jack worked for General Electric for 10 years, then as a Master Plumber, owned and operated John Herrick Plumbing and Heating for 12 years.  He went on to teach the plumbing trade to high school students for 17 years at Minuteman Tech. in Lexington, MA, and Whittier Tech in Haverhill, MA.  Jack loved to work and help others.  He was the biggest sports fan of his kids and grandkids.  His passion in life was discipleship and investing his time in young men to develop their relationship with God.
