John J Mulcahy

John J. Mulcahy, age 77, born July 29, 1946 in Lawrence, Ma., passed March 14, 2024, peacefully.  Deanna, his beloved wife of 55 yrs., checked on John @ 7:30 am & found him unresponsive, Rochester, N.H.John went to Catholic school in N.J., after completing, he moved home.  His first job was, as he said to me, a soda jerk.  Secondly was Abington Shoe, Boston, Ma., starting as floor sweeper.  The owners moved to Newmarket, N.H. in 1969, they asked Jack to move w/them, he did so, and started in shipping, quickly worked his way to Vice President of manufacturing, now known as Timberland Footwear, hence the owners opened factories in Dominican Republic & Puerto Rico, John then had much travel to manage two more companies taking him away from home a great deal of time. His last job was w/Sympatex, which is a waterproofing footwear.  This phase of his job was travel to factories in China (most prevalent), Haiti, Viet Nam, Spain, Dominican Republic, and more to detect and solve problems with sympatex inserted in...
