Rochester-John "Grampa" Sears,82, of 10 Forest Meadows died Saturday August 3, 2013 at his granddaughter Leslie (Feliciano) Crowley's Home after a sudden illness. Born August 10, 1930 in Brockton Ma he was the son of the late Herb and Evalyn Sears. John has lived in Rochester for the past 4 years after moving from St. Petersburg FL. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. During his time living in Massachusetts he was employed as a truck driver for the independent nail Co in Bridgewater. While living in New Hampshire he was a member of the Elks lodge #1393 and the American legion Post 7. He enjoyed fishing and boating. Members of his family include his sons; Herb Sears and his wife Lisa of Rochester, Lester Tibbetts and his wife Gloria of Farmington and John Tibbetts and his wife Veronica of Florida, a sister, Mary Oullette of Newport VT, 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, he is predeceased by his wife Phyllis Buopaine Sears, his daughter Barbara Cote, a brother, Ed Sears and his sisters; Beverly and Arlene Westgate. A private family service will be held September 20, 2013 at 1:30pm in the Bay Pines Cemetery in St Petersburg FL. Cremation is under the care of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester NH.
