Rochester - John F. Wright, 80, passed away March 3, 2010 at the Rochester Manor surrounded by his loving family following a period of failing health. Born November 16, 1929 in Stockton Springs, ME. He was the son of the late Frank and Ruth (Parker) Wright. Mr. Wright worked for many years as a shoe cutter for Encore Shoe Co. He was a member of the 1st Congregational Church of Rochester. He enjoyed working with wood, walking, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends. Members of his family include his wife of 59 years Lula "Lu" (Walker) Wright of Rochester, NH; his daughter Vicki O'Donnell and her husband Mike of Rochester, NH; four grandchildren Brandon and Glenda Wright and Michael and Bridget O'Donnell, four great grandchildren Dustin, Alexis, Alex, and Julian, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son John F. Wright Jr. in 1991, one brother George Wright and six sisters Lucy Maskell, Thelma Wakefield, Mable Nickerson, Winnie Thurston, Catheline Chappell and Aila Delude. Family and friends may visit Saturday March 6, 2010 from 3-4PM at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH. A funeral service will follow at 4 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Rochester Cemetery in the spring.
