Rochester – Joseph M. Belanger, 55, passed away on Wednesday April 1, 2026.
Born January 10, 1971, in Rochester, NH the son of Richard Belanger and Beverly Taylor.
Joe was born and raised in Rochester and had worked for Rochester Truck both towing and as a diesel technician. He was very passionate and devoted to his job. He loved towing and the more challenging the job the more he enjoyed it. He was also a top fabricator who could weld or fix most anything, always taking great pride in his work.
Outside of work Joe enjoyed riding his side by side, and his motorcycle. He enjoyed hunting and driving in Demolition Derby’s. He was also known for collecting wood on the side of the road. He had been involved in Ice Racing where he had won numerous trophies and was considered a Champion before stepping away from the sport.
Joe was bigger than life, with a great smile that made you want to smile, and an intoxicating laugh. He loved animals and they all loved him. He loved his family and friends, always making time for others, and if you were fortunate enough to be considered one of these and were in need of help no matter the time or place if you asked for his help Joe would be there. He was a fixture in Rochester. If you mentioned his name people knew who he was.
Members of his family include his father Richard Belanger and stepmother Paula Couture, his partner Cheryl Duval and her son Ryan Duval, his brother Rich Belanger and nephews Kyle and Cody Belanger, his stepbrother Matthew Couture and wife Stephanie, and their son Kason Couture.
Family and friends may visit Saturday April 18, 2026, from 11 AM – 2 PM at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH.
