Judith D Larmie

Middleton, NH- Judith D. Larmie, 73, of 47 Adams Way died Sunday May 26, 2019 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital after a period of failing health. She was born Aug. 9, 1945 in Portsmouth, NH, the daughter of the late John and Aubrey (Gilchrist) Downs. Judith was a graduate of Burdette College in Boston. She has resided in Middleton for the past two years previously living in Stratham, NH. She was a foster parent of 32 children for many years. As Pease Greeter she made many crafts for the troops. Her hobbies included arts and crafts and flower gardening. The widow of George A. Larmie who died in 2017, she is survived by sons, Keith and wife Kimberly Larmie, Middleton, Michael and Ting Larmie, Arlington, VA; daughter, Lona and husband John LeClerc, Manchester, NH; grandchildren, Aubrey and Jacob Larmie; brother, Dennis Barnes, York, ME; sister, Joanne Tobey, Greenland, Nh and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Terry Barnes and sister, Janice Thorp. Family and friends may visit Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 6-8PM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH. The funeral service will be Friday, May 31, 2019 at 1:30PM in the chapel of the funeral home officiated by John Hillman. Burial will be in the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH at a later date.
