Judith Murphy

ROCHESTER - Judith Murphy, 60, passed away Nov. 2, 2009, at her home following a period of failing health.Born Oct. 5, 1949 in Lawrence, Mass., she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Patricia (Hart) Shimanoski. Judy grew up in and went to schools in Peabody, Mass. Prior to moving to New Hampshire in 1996, she was the manager of Welch's Flowers in Lynn, Mass.She was predeceased by her husband, James "Shamus" Murphy.Before her illness, Judy and her husband both worked at Davidson Rubber and later both worked at the McClelland School in Rochester as night custodians.Judy was a wonderful and caring daughter, sister and friend. She loved her cats and enjoyed working with her hands and sculpting with clay.Members of her family include her parents, Norman and "Pat" Brown of Rochester; one brother, John Shimanoski and his wife, Susan, of Loudon, N.H.; one sister, Nancy Brown of Rochester, N.H.; one nephew and one niece; and a dear friend, Linda Palmer of Rochester, N.H.A memorial service will be held Nov. 28 at...
