Julia C. Hackett (April 18, 1937 - June 11, 2020) Rochester NH - Julia Cornelia Hackett (nee Monti) passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2020. Born April 18, 1937 in Hackensack NJ, Julia ("Julie") was the daughter of the late Julian and Cornelia (Ferloni) Monti.  She is survived by her loving husband John ("Jack") Hackett, sister Marie Androski of Kinnelon NJ, son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Jodie Simpson of Tuckerton NJ, son and daughter-in-law Mark and Leslie Simpson of Ramsey NJ, step-son Robert Hackett of Oregon, step-daughter Lisa (Hackett) Rohr of Stratham NH, brother-in-law Richard Hackett, sister-in-law Renee Hackett, and Julie's beloved grandchildren - Alexandra (Simpson) Langan and her husband Patrick of Stamford CT, Jacqueline Simpson of New York NY, and Jacob, Amanda and Samantha Simpson of Ramsey NJ. Julie was a long-time resident of Rochester with husband Jack.  She had a life-long passion for art and was an accomplished member of NH Art Association, Art Guild of the Kennebunks,ME. Maine Women in the Arts, Kennebunk, ME., Great Bay Art Association,Durham, NH. She was also a member of several NJ art associations, including the Community Arts Association of Allendale NJ, during her decades-long residence in Ramsey NJ with late husband Robert ("Bob") Simpson.  Her artwork, for which she received many awards, was displayed on many occasions and locations across the southeast region of NH and in northern NJ.  The town of Ramsey even commissioned her talents to produce artwork depicting local landmarks for a number of Ramsey occasions, including its Centennial in 2008. Julie grew up in Ramsey NJ, attended college in Richmond VA, and worked 25 years in Finance for the Mahwah NJ School system.  She embraced the blessing of motherhood with the same beautiful passion she had with respect to art.  She had a long, loving marriage with husband Bob, and was also blessed to find the second love of her life with dear husband Jack, who gave her boundless love and devotion.   She is survived not only by Jack, her sister Marie, children and grandchildren, but also by her many wonderful friends, both near and far, especially those who offered immeasurable assistance to her and Jack during the last phase of her life.  Her family is eternally grateful to everyone who touched Julie's life. Visitation arrangements will be held from 5pm to 6:30pm on Monday, June 15, 2020 in the chapel at R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St. Rochester NH 03867. A Celebration of Life will follow at 6:30PM in the chapel of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the Emmanuel Church Food Pantry, P.O. Box 1812, Rochester NH 03866-1812
