Julia M. MacKay-Lanoix died Wed. Aug. 10th, 2022, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover after a battle with a short illness. Julia passed away surrounded by her loving family and close friends. Born in Rochester on Nov. 25th, 1950, to Elwin and Addy (Karcha) MacKay, Julia is survived by her Husband of thirty-two years, Peter Lanoix. Son, John Golightly. Daughter, Stacy Lanoix-Dubois. Sisters Betty Burke & Bonnie Favart. Grandchildren Daniel Golightly, Kayla Dubois, Kevin Golightly, and Travis Golightly. Julia worked for Stratford County Community Action. Julia is predeceased by her son James Golightly, Sisters Sharon Roberts & Kathy MacKay, and brother Daniel MacKay. A celebration of life will take place at R.M Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St. Rochester, NH, on Aug. 29th, 2022, from 11:00 am to Noon. As an avid animal lover and rights activist, the family asks that in place of flowers, anyone wanting to pay their love and respect donate to the Pope Memorial Humane Society - Cocheco Valley.
