Rochester, NH- Julie M. Brown, 84, of Caribbean Lane passed away suddenly Saturday Oct. 5, 2019 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 20, 1935 in Worcester, MA the daughter of the late Jesse and Helen (Follett) Hill. Julie has resided in Rochester for the past 50 years. She attended State Teachers College in Worcester, MA. Julie was an active member of the community spending 24 years in the NH House of Legislature, 15 years as a Board Member and Chair on the Rochester Planning Board and 15 years on the Community Action Partnership of Strafford County Board of Directors as a Board Member and Board Chair.
She served as chairman of the local Ronald Reagan Campaign in NH and in 2012 she was awarded the top honor from the NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, the Hall of Fame Award. She also received the prestigious "New Hampshire Voice for Children Award" presented by Child and Family Services of New Hampshire in 1996.
