Rochester, NH-Katherine Anna Campbell, 83, formerly of Richardson Street passed away on Monday June 3, 2014 at the Dover Center for Health & Rehabilitation after a period of failing health with her daughter by her side. Katherine was born on March 9, 1931 in Rochester, NH. She was the daughter of John J. Lucey and Gladys (Hartford) Lucey Rand. Kay grew up in Sanford, Maine and graduated from Sanford High School, Class of 1950. She moved to Rochester in 1950/1951 and has lived at her home in Rochester for 56 years. She worked in area Shoe Shops and Puritan Clothing Store. First and foremost she loved being a full-time homemaker. Kay was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend who will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Her daughter Sue as well as Kay's special nieces and nephews have many stories to share about their Aunt Kay. She always looked forward to their visits and phone calls. Kay loved bowling and was a member of several teams over the years. She and her husband Forrest also bowled in a couple's league at Bowl-Away Lanes. She also loved knitting with her mother in her spare time. Kay was well known for her love of the Boston Red Sox as well as a NE Sports fan. She so enjoyed watching golf, tennis and SVU on TV. Katherine was predeceased by the love of her life, Forrest in 2001 and her youngest daughter Kathy Schnurbush in 2011. She was also predeceased by her brother John Lucey. She is survived by her daughter Susan Campbell, Denise Houde a special friend and caregiver, her sister Arlyne Legere of Rye, NH and her family, her brother Donald & Cynthia Rand and family of Rochester, NH, her son-in-law Tom Schnurbush, her sister- in- law Judy Lucey of Ct., many cousins, nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH on Sunday June 8, 2014 from 1-2 PM. Services will immediately follow at 2PM in the chapel. Burial will take place on Monday June 9, 2014 at 10AM at Rochester Cemetery on Franklin Street. Flowers are welcome or you may donate to the charity of your choice.
