DOVER - Katherine A. Morrison, 87, passed away on Saturday December 5, 2020 at the Dover Rehabilitation Center in Dover, New Hampshire. Katherine was born on January 16, 1933 to Byron Clark and Gladys (Barrett) Clark in Bath, Maine. She later moved to Rochester, New Hampshire with her mother and brother Byron. Katherine graduated from Spaulding High School in 1950. She married Walter L. Morrison in the summer of 1950, and they made their home in Rochester. They later moved to Venice, Florida in 1987. Katherine returned to the area in 1995 and resided in Dover until her passing. For many years Katherine worked as a manager and seamstress at Sheldon's Men's Store in Rochester. Katherine also worked at Bells Department Store in Venice, Florida. She was the president of the Red Raiders Mothers Club for several years and was also a member of the American Legion women's auxiliary. Katherine loved to attend her children and grandchildren's school and sporting events. She also loved to spend her time quilting, crocheting, and knitting. Over the years she made hundreds of hats and mittens for area schools, along with her "famous" wash clothes that she gave to friends and family. Katherine would often say lovingly that her family was and will always be her greatest achievement. Katherine is preceded by her parents and stepfather Irving Mann, brother Byron Clark Jr., son-in-law Michael Morrissey, and ex-husband and friend Walter Morrison. Katherine is survived by her children: Walter Jr. and wife Deborah of Bridgton, Maine, Michael of Nashua, New Hampshire, Mark and wife Karen of New Canaan, Connecticut, Kathleen Landry and husband Roger of Bridgton, Maine, Dean of Boynton Beach, Florida, Steven and wife Lisa of Lake Odessa, Michigan, and Cheryl Morrissey and husband Timothy of Sanford, Maine; fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Along with many cherished extended family and friends. SERVICES: A graveside service is planned for the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
