My mother was a registered Nurse for 45 years. During that time she brought joy and hope to every patient or resident under her care. She was very active with her mother through Meadaboro Community Church. She was a Sunday school teacher and led secret pal a group church member function. Too which she dress up in home made costumes to surprise and bring laughter and joy to everyone.
As a mother the countless amusement parks, movie outs, dinner outs or trips to Florida. Left my child hood loaded with fun and good times. Which also included my child hood friends Peter and Matt. They were treated like honorary sons to her.
As an adult my mother and I along with my wife. Who was treated as a daughter. We would go to countless concerts, plays, museums, amusment parks.
As a grandmother my children were given the same expiences as my childhood. Also she helped provide for us during difficult financial times. My mother had a way of making us feel middle class even if we were poor. Through her countless sacrifices and generosity that extended to everyone before her self.
She had dibetes for thirty years. Three years ago developed parkinsons. Which brought her life to an early end. She got her wish of being independent with no long term care facilities with help of myself.
Peacefully passed away in her favorite chair.
Daughter of Henry and Eleanor Lewis,
Sister of Patricia Houle, Aunt of Timothy and Michael Purvis, and Jenny McManus, Mother of Curtis Hubertz, Grandmother of Magnolia and Henry Hubertz, a like mother too Marjorie Lougee and a spirit relation to my child hood friends Peter Leavitt and Matt Beal, along with every resident she cared for as a Nurse and countless coworkers. But most of all a spiritual and religious leader and daughter of God.
