Keith W. Hayward

ROCHESTER, NH - Keith W. Hayward, 75, passed away May 23, 2018 at Riverside Rest Home in Dover, following a period of failing health. Born May 14, 1943 in Bath, Maine, he was the son of the late Edmund and Patricia (Strout) Hayward. Keith was a Veteran of the United States Navy.  He served on the USS Sierra.  He enjoyed working for many years as a meat cutter and retired from Hannaford in 2006. He enjoyed fishing, reading, going camping and when his health allowed, long walks with his wife. Members of his family include his wife of 30 years, Donna (Hayes) Hayward of Rochester, NH, his daughter Jeanette (Hayward) Nelson and her husband Russell of Apex, NC, his stepdaughter Tracy (Richey) Demers and her husband Mark of North Berwick, ME, his brother Gary Hayward and his wife Angela (Cogswell) of Kittery, ME his sister Lori (Hayward) Jernigan and her husband Tommy of Pickens, SC and his brother in law, Gary Franz of Osteen, FL, husband of his predeceased sister, Sharyn (Hayward).  Also, many grandchildren: Jillian Nelson, Katie Nelson, Jolene Demers, Steven Demers, Andrew Gerrish and his fiancée Drew Brooks, Hailee Gerrish, Jenna Demers and a great grandson, Jacob Gerrish. There will be a service for Keith on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11:00 am at the New Covenant Baptist Church, 285 Maple Street, North Berwick, ME. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Keith's name to Hyder House, 285 County Farm Rd., Dover, NH 03820.
