Kennth I Dunton

BARRINGTON Kenneth I. Dunton, 83, of 86 Young Road, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at the Riverside Rest Home after a long illness. Born Aug. 26, 1926, in Skowhegan, Maine. He is the son of the late Ernest and Hattie (Burns) Dunton. Ken had lived in Barrington for the past 32 years after moving from Dover. He was a retired shipwright at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Members of his family include his wife of 58 years, Dulcie (Bear) Dunton of Barrington; sons, Kenneth Dunton Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Berwick, Maine, Dennis Dunton and his wife, Patty, of North Berwick, Maine, Richard Dunton and his wife, Elaine, of Rochester and Robert Dunton of Barrington; a daughter, Linda Dunton and her husband, Tom; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Riverside Rest Home on Unit Five for their excellent care and support while Ken was a resident. Calling hours will be held Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with funeral services to be held at 12 p.m. in the chapel of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., Rochester NH 03867.
