Rochester, New Hampshire - Kirby E. L. Flanagan Sr., 79, of Rochester, NH, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on Saturday, November, 10th after a brief illness. Kirby was the son of the late Edward and Anita (Dube) Flanagan.
Kirby was a graduate of Spaulding High School Class of 1958 and Brewster Academy Class of 1959. While at Spaulding he was a four letter athlete. At both Spaulding and Brewster he excelled in both Baseball and Football. He was an All American Running Back and Captain of the undefeated 1957 and 1958 Spaulding Red Raiders Football Team. He was also a member of the 1956 American Legion Post 7 State Championship team. In 1958 The St. Louis Sporting News selected Kirby as one of just 80 young men across the country to be named to the paper's All Prep Team.
Kirby was employed for 20 years at Davidson Rubber Company in Dover NH as a Urethane Chemist. During his tenure he was awarded three United States Patents in chemistry. He owned and operated the Donna Flanagan Bingo...
