Kirby E. L. Flanagan, Jr.

Kirby E. L. Flanagan Jr., 62, of Milton N.H., loving son, brother and uncle passed away on Thursday, May 16th after a brief illness. Kirby was the son of the late Kirby Sr. and Donna (Curran) Flanagan. Kirby was a graduate of Spaulding High School Class of 1980 and attended Plymouth State College.  While at Spaulding he was a four-year member of the baseball team where he excelled as a pitcher. Due to the tremendous amount of movement on his breaking ball, he earned the nickname Kirby "Curveball". He was the recipient of the John Hartigan SHS Most Valuable Player award during his senior year. Kirby's fondest memories of growing up in Rochester consisted of great times at the Bowl-away lanes including winning multiple state doubles championships with Kevin, playing little league at the Commons, Babe Ruth at Keay field, and Red Raiders baseball.
