Laurier “Larry” LaCroix

Larry LaCroix, who resided on Route 125 in Rochester, NH for 50 years died at the age of 87 years old, at Bellamy Fields Assisted Living Facility in Dover, NH after a short illness.
Born 2/21/1937 in Berlin, NH, one of six children of Alphonse and Alfredine (Gilbert) LaCroix of Quebec, Canada. He grew up at the Nadeau Farm in Lancaster, NH.
Larry graduated from Farmington High School in 1956 and New Hampshire Technical Institute in 1959 with a certificate in Automotive Technology.
Serving in the Army National Guard for six years from 1959 – 1965, Larry was honorably discharged as a Specialist Four E-4, Service Battery 3D Howitzer Battalion 197th Artillery.
On July 26, 1967 he successfully completed his first solo flight at Skyhaven Airport in Rochester, New Hampshire.
Larry was a Master Electrician, licensed in the State of New Hampshire for most of his adult life. He worked at General Electric in Somersworth NH for over 38 years, retiring in April of 1997.
Larry was predeceased by his second wife, Judith (Appleby) LaCroix; three brothers, Leo, Lawrence and Leon (Joe); two sisters Denise Libby and Delores Fournier and survived by his daughter, Marcia Vina of Michigan, two grandsons, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
At Larry’s request, there will be a private burial of cremains in the Spring.
