Lee Tebbetts White November 9, 1946 ~ March 24, 2021 When Lee met Jesus there was instant recognition. It is customary for people to say to a military veteran "thank you for your service". The words that Lee T. White heard from His Lord on March 24 were "well done thou good and faithful servant". What a greeting! Lee was predeceased by his parents Leslie I. White and Mildred (Tebbetts) White, his brother Stephen P. White, and sister-in-law Gail (Hayes) White. Lee is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jenefer (Aichler) White, daughter Ruth Ann (White) Vachon, son-in-law Wilfred (Bill) Vachon, grandchildren Zachary R. Vachon, Katelin J. Vachon, Brandon L. Vachon, and Meagan J. Vachon, two Aunts (Jean (Tebbetts) Hodgdon, and Barbara (Tebbetts) Fecteau, two nieces (Tracy Gray and Jennifer Minnihan), a nephew (Michael DePalma), several cousins, and a vast multitude of dear friends. Lee loved to read, sing, and listen to music (especially the piano being played by his wife Jenefer). Most of all he loved to tell wonderful stories. Witticisms from Doctor Potter were often shared to get his point across. One of Doctor Potter's quotes: "Every day should be perceived as a gift - a fresh opportunity with a clean slate to make new memories - to right wrong and to work on that attitude of thankfulness"! A 1965 graduate of Spaulding High School, Lee went on to study at Northeastern Collegiate Bible Institute in New Jersey. He then enlisted in the US Air Force, serving 3 years at March AFB in California and 1 year at a remote site in Cold Bay, Alaska. In August 1971 he married his high school sweetheart, Jenefer Aichler. From May 1972 until April 1974, he served as the Pastor of Gonic Baptist Church. This is where Lee and Jenefer welcomed their beautiful daughter, Ruth Ann in 1973. Having re-enlisted in the Air Force and spending active-duty time at Pease AFB, Lee went through an extensive background check in preparation for an assignment in 1974 at a Security Service Air Base in Italy. Serving in the US Air Force for 21 years, Lee, Jenefer, and Ruthie spent memorable years in Italy, Germany, New Mexico, and Florida. Away from family in New Hampshire, they adopted many wonderful friends as their extended family. Upon retirement from the Air Force in 1989, Lee began working at Community Partners in Dover, NH. He spent 25 years working with clients / parents and colleagues. The CEO of the agency said: "he was a passionate champion for the people we serve. He wore many hats over the years... he strongly encouraged us to adopt 'It's About the Mission' as our tagline." Lee experienced many health issues over the past couple years. Eventually he came to rely on the help of Cornerstone VNA. The nurses, OT, PT, and clinical staff all treated him with professional, medical help as well as kindness, respect, and friendliness. He looked forward to their visits and appreciated them dearly. So many glowing words could be used to describe Lee - among them: honorable, loving, wise, witty, faithful, sensitive, passionate, gentle, generous, thoughtful, and caring. He was a devoted, loving husband, proud and doting father, and a welcome mentor and friend to many. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, March 30, at 7 p.m. at True Memorial Baptist Church, 21 Ten Rod Road, Rochester NH 03867. Leaving you with one last quote from Doctor Potter: "Hold fast to time! Be conscious of each day, each hour! They slip away unnoticed all too easily and swiftly." Flowers can be sent to True Memorial Baptist Church (address above). In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to either Community Partners, 113 Crosby Road, Dover, NH 03820 or Cornerstone VNA, 178 Farmington Road, Rochester, NH 03867. Please visit R.M.
