Leo F. McCluskey passed away suddenly at his home in Rochester, on March 11, 2016, at the age of 77. Known to everyone as Mac, he will be deeply missed by his wife of 56 years, his family, the Rochester Elks Lodge 1393, and Frisbie Memorial Hospital's Volunteer Services. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 22, 1938, son of Frederick and Anne (Smith) McCluskey. He was educated in Boston and graduated from Don Bosco Tech. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1956 and proudly served for 23 years on several ships and numerous shore duty stations. He retired in 1978 as a Chief Radioman. He worked in Shop 67 of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and served there for 20 years. Upon that retirement, he became a volunteer at Frisbie Memorial Hospital for 15 years. Just recently, when Frisbie started a new Campaign, he was asked to pose for publicity pictures, and quickly gained a bit of celebrity status with his familiar face all over town, and he was happy to do so.
