Leone A. Labarre

Acton, ME- Leone A. LaBarre, 94, of Acton passed away peacefully Tuesday March 17, 2020 at Colonial Hill Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born March 9, 1926 in Norwich, CT the daughter of the late John and Diana Melvina (LaBarre) LeDoux. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School, of Springfield, MA Class of 1945 and worked at the Seabrook Dog Track for 30 years retiring at the age of 81. In her earlier years Leone spent several years doing secretarial work in Hampton, NH and worked for the Alumni Office at University of NH during the 60's. She also co-owned a health food store in Lee, NH in the 70's. Her hobbies included rug braiding, knitting, and furniture refinishing. She enjoyed old movies, show tunes, musicals and jazz music. Leone was a devoted, generous and loving mother who will be missed a lot. We know she is in good hands with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
