Rochester, NH - Leroy R. (Red) Allen of 125 Wakefield Street, passed away 69 days after his beloved wife Rosemary, on Thursday April 18, 2013, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born June 14, 1931 in Rochester, NH he was the eldest child of Roger N. Allen and E. Marguerite (Foss) Allen. After Graduation from Spaulding High School he attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA where he achieved a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He then enlisted and served in the US Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, Red worked for TWA for 35 1/2 years as a Flight Engineer where he met his loving wife Rosemary. Red and Rosie enjoyed living and raising their family in Rochester for 49 years. His hobbies were golfing, hunting, fishing. Red was a loving husband, caring father and most of all a wonderful man He is predeceased by his wife Rosemary M. (Marshall) Allen and is survived by his son, Roger "Tripp" Allen and his wife Jennifer. Daughters; Margaret "Peggy" (Allen) Twombley and Mary Beth (Allen) Masse, all of Rochester, NH. Grandchildren; Shane and Chase Merrihew, Heather Twombley, Ethan Masse, Kevin Johonnett and Rachele Ferrandi. Sister Sybil (Mrs. Francis) Allen Daly Sister's in-law Elizabeth (Mrs. William) Post of Omaha, NEand Sharon (Mrs. Richard) (Bradley) Marshall of Goleta,CA, his cousin Winona (Nonie) Wyberg of Rochester, NH, Along with several nieces and nephews. At Red's request, there will be no services. Cremation is under the care of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester NH 03867
