He was born June 16, 1945 in Rochester the son of Pearly and Pauline (Down) Tripp.

He is survived by wife Sharon (Hayes) Tripp, sons Jay Tripp, Tim Tripp, Leroy Tripp Jr. David Tripp and Al Poulin, Daughters Tammy Zangarine Carol Hauer, Melinda Lewis, Annette Patch. Sister Judy Keezer, brothers Daniel Hathaway, Frank Hathaway. 16 grandchildren. 18 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
