Somersworth - Lincoln M. Hanscom, Sr. 91, passed away Monday June 20, 2016 at the Rochester Manor following a period of failing health. Born June 22, 1924 in Portsmouth, NH he was the son of the late Lincoln W. and Adelaide (Wilson) Hanscom. Mr. Hanscom served in the US Army during WWII. During his service he was held as a Prisoner of War by the German Army. He later worked for many years as a police officer at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Lincoln was a member of the DAV and NRA, and when he was able he loved moose watching and taking long rides with his wife Mary into the wilderness.
