Linda Lou Erickson

Linda Lou Erickson, 74, of Alton, NH, passed away peacefully with her daughter Melissa by her side at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH, on Saturday, July 22, 2023.  Linda was born August 17, 1948, in Crystal Falls, Michigan, to the late Volney Ray and Lillian Vassar, Sr., and youngest of 10 children.  Linda graduated from Florence High School (Florence, Wisconsin) in 1972.  Linda was married for 50 years to her late husband Morris L. Erickson.  She held many jobs throughout her lifetime in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan which included the Wagon Wheel, Freemans Nursing Home, Americana Healthcare, Timbers Motor Lodge, and the Drug Store.  Linda moved to New Hampshire in 2006 with her husband and worked as a deli supervisor at Hannaford's in Alton, NH until she retired.  Linda had a passion for cooking and baking.  She enjoyed golfing, lifting weights, bike riding, playing cards, and spending what little free time she had with family and friends.  She always said "A promise should be made with caution and kept with care;" she always kept her promises.  Linda was hard-working, fun loving, sweet, caring, and had a kind soul.  She will best be remembered for her smile, quick wit, sense of humor, and the unconditional love she had for her family and all those she encountered.  She will be deeply missed.  Linda is survived by her daughters Shannon Bennett (Norway, MI), Robin (Guy) Livermore (Iron Mountain, MI), Melissa Erickson and significant other Richie Ragonesi (Alton, NH), as well as many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.  Linda was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life Morris Erickson; her parents, Volney Ray and Lillian Vassar, Sr.; her son James Erickson; and her siblings, Valeria Fraumeni, Volney Ray Vassar Jr., Edna Woods, Nell Hogan, Marion Anderson, Shirley Peterson, Lois Ducharme, Jack Vassar, and Terry Vassar.  As per Linda's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.edgerlyfh.com.
